African Circus Festival - Ethiopie
Fekat Circus conceived the first African Circus Arts Festival as a means to reinvent the image of circus in Ethiopia while stimulating the development of the circus sector in Africa. The first edition for the first time gathering 107 African circus artists who met and performed on an African stage. The second edition followed suit in March 2018. This festival gathered 6 of the most prestigious circus troupes from the four corners of Africa.
Fekat Circus a conçu le premier Festival Africain des Arts du Cirque comme un moyen de réinventer l'image du cirque en Ethiopie tout en stimulant le développement du secteur du cirque en Afrique. La première édition du festival a réunie pour la première fois 107 artistes de cirque africains qui se sont rencontrés et se sont produits sur une scène africaine. La deuxième édition a emboîté le pas en mars 2018. Ce festival a réuni 6 des plus prestigieuses troupes de cirque des quatre coins de l'Afrique.
Régisseur de la compagnie Colokolo / Colokolo company stage manager
Durant ma mission bénévole au sein du festival j'étais en charge de la compagnie de cirque marocaine Colokolo. En tant que régisseur, j'étais leur référent pendant 2 semaines dès leur arrivée en Ethiopie jusqu'à leur départ. Je devais gérer le planning et les déplacements des 6 membres de la compagnie à travers Addis Ababa. Je m'occupais également de la fabrication de matériel pour leur spectacle tout en m'assurant qu'ils passent un agréable séjour.
During my volunteer mission within the festival I was in charge of the Moroccan circus company Colokolo. As a stage manager, I was their referent for 2 weeks from their arrival in Ethiopia until their departure. I had to manage the planning and movements of the 6 members of the company through Addis Ababa. I should take care of making materials for their show while making sure they have a pleasant journey.
